Truck Stop: Dos Hermanos Tacos
Sure, everyone's making tacos these days. But there's a simple reason for that: Tacos taste good. We could eat them, say, three or four days a week. Maybe more. And Dos Hermanos Tacos does tacos well.

The truck: Sure, everyone's making tacos these days. But there's a simple reason for that: Tacos taste good. We could eat them, say, three or four days a week. Maybe more. And Dos Hermanos Tacos does tacos well.
Recommend: We really liked the Al Pastor (marinated pineapple pork) tacos with chopped onions, cilantro, radish and a slice of lime on a corn tortilla. Go with the hot sauce. Three of these ($7) with a side of rice or beans ($2.50) and you've got a good lunch. But there are other options. Lots of them.
Taco choices: Other taco choices include: marinated strip steak, pulled pork, chorizo, grilled chicken, shredded chicken in a tomato chipotle sauce, vegetable, grilled or battered tilapia or shrimp, or queso oaxaca and queso fresco. And that's just the tacos. Co-owner Gabriel Lezama recommends trying the shrimp tacos. We plan to make a return trip and follow his advice.
Others: Lots of stuff on this menu, including burritos ($7), quesadillas ($7), tortas (Mexican sandwich with homemade chipotle mayo, pickled jalapenos, beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato and cheese, $7), sopes (open faced corn tortillas with beans and other good stuff, $3), nachos ($6) and salads. "We make everything from scratch. Everything is fresh," Lezama said.
Where: Dos Hermanos, on the streets for about six months, can usually be found at 33rd and Market, Monday through Friday. But best to check Twitter (@2HermanosTacos) or Facebook ("Dos Hermanos Tacos"). You can also call ahead to order: 267-606-8356.
