Krispy Kreme sets its opening date in Delco

The "hot" light goes on April 9.

Krispy Kreme makes its foray into the western burbs at 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 9 when it flips on the "Hot" light at its new shop in Havertown at Eagle Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in the Manoa Shopping Center.

This location wil hire 30 locals. (That's locals, not lo-cals.)

Hours will be 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The first customer in line will get one dozen doughnuts every week for a year. (At $8.99 a dozen plus 63 cents tax, that's worth 500 bucks.)

The next 99 people in line will get one dozen doughnuts every month for a year.

The next 100 in line will get T-shirts.
