On April 29th, students, staff and administration at Lower Merion High School flooded the school's hallways to film a school-wide lip dub to the song "Firework" by Katy Perry.

As part of the school's continued efforts to fight cancer, the lip dub was put on to promote an end-of-year online giving campaign for the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer program.

Previously, the school's Coaches vs. Cancer committee has raised funds through events like dance-a-thons, dodge ball and 3 on 3 basketball tournaments — but this year's school-wide lip dub definitely takes the cake.

The video has been viewed more than 7,500 times since it was posted last week.

According to the school's fundraising page:

"Cancer is a fierce opponent, but our team is committed to helping the American Cancer Society raise awareness about what we can do, together, to help end this disease.  Our mission is clear – keep fighting for the day when no one hears the words "you have cancer."

So far, the Lower Merion team has raised $3,502 for the American Cancer Society, not far from their $5,000 goal.
