2 face sex raps involving kids

A day after announcing the arrest of 13 individuals who allegedly downloaded child pornography, authorities in Gloucester County yesterday disclosed the arrest of two men accused of much worse.

John L. Hunter, 46, of the Madison Court Apartments on Black Horse Pike in Williamstown, allegedly performed a sex act on an 8-year-old boy and touched the genital area of a 6-year-old girl on Dec. 1, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. He also showed the children a Playboy magazine and masturbated in front of the girl, authorities said yesterday.

The children were under Hunter's supervision at the time of the alleged assaults, but authorities did not say if the children were related to him. New Jersey's Division of Youth and Family Services is involved in the case.

Another man, Khalecumbe K. Wise, 26, of North Broad Street in Clayton, is accused of watching a porn movie and masturbating in front of a 6-year-old.

Authorities did not explain the relationship between Wise and the child, but said DYFS had been involved in that case also.

Hunter was being held on $250,000 bail in the Gloucester County Jail in Woodbury on charges of aggravated sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, exhibiting obscene material and lewdness.

Wise was held on $150,000 bail on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, exhibiting obscene material and lewdness.

They were arrested Wednesday.

On Thursday, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest of 13 people, including a music teacher from West Deptford High School, for allegedly downloading child-porn images and videos. *
