2DEL. BEER FAN FACES NUMEROUS CHARGES

A 63-year-old woman in Long Neck, Sussex County, Del., awoke Tuesday morning to find a strange surprise on her couch - a sleeping, drunk man, according to police.

The woman told the napper, identified as Bradley Furchak, 29, of Millsboro, that she was going to call police and he left the house running with a beer can in his hand, police said.

It was not clear whether Furchak had brought his own beer to the house or whether he stole it from the resident.

Cops said the victim discovered that Furchak had downed more than one brew at her house.

While canvassing the neighborhood, police said, they found Furchak walking along a road, still enjoying his beer.

Even after he spotted police, Furchak kept sipping away, authorities said.

He was arrested and, aside from the beer, he possessed six pills, including codeine, that had not been prescribed to him, police said.

Charges against him include burglary, theft, drug possession and being drunk on a highway.

Police said Furchak gained entry to the victim's home by cutting a screen on a porch window.
