Steve and Mia: Should neighbor cop to threesome?

Q: My wife and I have been living in our current house for three years. Most of the neighbors on our street are much older, but about a year and a half ago, a married couple about the same age as us moved in across the street.

None of us have kids and we all became close pretty much instantly, hanging out a lot, having cookouts, etc.

The husband's job occasionally requires travel and we'll sometimes invite the wife over for dinner when he is away. Nothing out of the ordinary, dinner, drinks, maybe watch a Phillies game or a movie.

One such occasion this past summer started out normally enough. I don't know what it was [though we'd all had a good bit to drink], but something came over us and to make a long story short, when the next morning arrived, all three of us were naked and in the same bed.

We were very ashamed of what we had done and made a pact to never speak of the incident.

However, a couple of weeks ago, the husband told me that ever since he came back from that trip, his wife hasn't been quite as affectionate as she was before and that something was "missing" in their relationship. He doesn't suspect anything and blames it on the traveling.

I'm having a hard time biting my tongue on this one and am really conflicted as to what I should do.

Should I keep my silence and let them work out their differences? Or should I 'fess up and potentially put our friendship, their marriage and maybe even my own marriage in jeopardy?

Mia: Don't say or do anything. It's noble of you to want to ease your neighbor's mind, but you shouldn't get any more involved than you already are. Let this be lesson to you about babysitting another man's wife when he's out of town. Stick to groups larger than just the three of you from now on.

Steve: You want to tell your neighbor that you had a threesome with his wife while he was away? What could possibly go wrong? You need to pretend that this never happened.
