Monday's Child: Jeremiah, 12, sociable, funny, easy to talk to

Jeremiah is a playful and fun-loving 12-year-old who is passionate about sports, so much so that he's already decided on a career. He dreams of playing basketball professionally. Jeremiah is very confident about his ability to succeed in the sport.

"I'm going to work on my shot and I'm going to make every one," he proudly says.

Among his other interests are dancing and music, and he can frequently be found singing along to classic radio hits. Very sociable, Jeremiah enjoys spending time with his friends and adults. His social worker says he is very funny and easy to talk to.

One of the topics he talks about most is his desire to be adopted. Family is extremely important to him. "Family means having people love you, take care of you, and support you," he says.

Most of all, Jeremiah wants to be adopted with his twin brother, Elijah (to be profiled next week). "Brothers take care of each other," Jeremiah says. Elijah is his favorite teammate in games. However, they aren't playing together very much right now because they are not living together. Hopefully, they will find a forever family that will adopt them both so they can grow up together.

Jeremiah, Elijah, and other children are available for adoption. For information, contact Taylor Rotolo at the National Adoption Center.
