Police have located a 4-year-old boy who officials say was abducted from Philadelphia's Fairhill section overnight by his mother's ex-boyfriend.

Philadelphia police said the 24-year-old woman reported at about 2:50 a.m. that Carlos Manuel Lebron Jr. took her 4-year-old son, Yandel Ernesto Rosario from her home on the 2800 block of Hope Street.

Police said shortly after 10 a.m. that the boy was located and Lebron, 35, was in custody.

Lebron is the woman's former boyfriend and was staying at her house, police said.

He is not the child's father.

Yandel's mother had flagged down a police officer on the 2700 block of Front Street and the woman and a friend surveyed the area in the officer's patrol car in an effort to find Lebron and the boy, police said.

The woman told investigators that she had spoken to Lebron on the phone, but he wouldn't tell her his location.
