Man, 70, burned in Bedminster house fire

A Bedminster man who tried to put out a fire at his home on Saturday was burned and authorities said he was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital on Saturday.

The fire broke out shortly before noon in the house on the 1000 block of Slotter Road, police said.

The 70-year-old homeowner, whose identity was not released, suffered burns to his face and airway. His wife and daughter were not hurt. Firefighters who responded to the call quickly put the fire out.
