County officials to be sworn in Jan. 3

WEST CHESTER County judges are scheduled to swear into office 10 elected Chester County officials on Jan. 3.

All three commissioners - Terence Farrell, Kathi Cozzone and Michelle Kichline - are to take their oaths to begin new terms, as will Thomas Hogan, the district attorney, and Carolyn Bunny Welsh, the sheriff.

Matt Holliday, elected as prothonotary this year; Terri Clark, the register of wills; and Rick Loughery, the recorder of deeds, also are to take their oaths of office.

District Judges Gregory Hines, based in Coatesville, and Marian Thayer Vito, elected this year and based in West Chester, also are to be sworn in.

Jacqueline Carroll Cody, president judge of the county court, is to be the main judge swearing in the officials, but they can choose which judge administers their oaths.
