An unidentified man died overnight, apparently after a bullet that entered his left arm traveled to his heart, police said.

The bullet did not go through his arm into his chest, but rather somehow found its way to the man's heart, police said.The man, believed to be in his mid-30s, was found outside around 2:30 a.m. at 16th Street and Erie Avenue in Hunting Park.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:34 a.m.

Police are looking for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at 215-854-3334 or 3335.
