A 16-year-old Haddon Heights boy pleaded guilty today to setting his friend's pants on fire during a sleepover, causing serious injuries.

A 15-year-old boy from Sicklerville previously pleaded guilty in the case. He will not be incarcerated for his part in the burning. The names of the two defendants were not released due to their ages.

The Haddon Heights teen pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and will serve a three-year term in juvenile detention. His formal sentencing has been set for June 30.

The teen admitted to setting fire to the victim's pants while the victim was sleeping at a home in Haddon Heights in January. The victim, a 16-year-old from Gloucester Township, suffered severe burns to his lower body. He has left the hospital but is still recovering from his injuries, authorities said.
