Beginning Sunday and continuing through June 22, the Ben Franklin Bridge will be arrayed in red, white and blue decorative lighting in honor of the U.S. Olympic Gymnastic Team trials to be held at the Wachovia Center.

More than 2,000 athletes are expected next week to vie for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Gymnastic Team competing in Beijing this summer.

The Delaware River Port Authority, which owns the Ben Franklin and three other bridges linking Pennsylvania to South Jersey, said it hopes the lighting "adds to the spirit of the competition."
