Bikini poster in surf shop window draws fire

TUCKERTON, N.J. - A racy poster in a surf shop on the New Jersey shore is getting one city official fired up.

TUCKERTON, N.J. - A racy poster in a surf shop on the New Jersey shore is getting one city official fired up.

A Tuckerton councilwoman said the poster of women wearing bikinis and boots in the window of Cheater 5's Skate and Surf Hut is inappropriate.

Liz Moritz took her concerns to the town's Landmarks Commission. But she has not yet filed a formal complaint about whether the poster advertising Aussie Dogs boots violates the historic district's laws.

Commission vice chairman Russell Mathis said the historic downtown isn't a good place for a surf shop, but Mathis also doesn't want to see an empty storefront. -AP
