Bearded bandit hits Cherry Hill bank

A bearded bandit made off with an undisclosed amount of cash today after a robbery at a Citizens Bank branch in Cherry Hill, policce said.

A bearded bandit made off with an undisclosed amount of cash today after a robbery at a Citizens Bank branch in Cherry Hill, policce said.

According to Cherry Hill police Det. Sgt. Joseph W. Vitqrelli Jr., the robber handed the teller a demand note at the bank on 2000 block of West Route 70 and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The bandit is described as a black male about 6' 2", stocky, in his mid-30's, sporting a beard and mustache.

Vitarelli said the robber was wearing a white colored t-shirt, blue colored baseball cap with unknown markings and black jeans.
