Snowmobile crash proves fatal in Bucks

A Quakertown man died and his female passenger was injured early yesterday morning after the snowmobile he was piloting hit a tree.

A Quakertown man died and his female passenger was injured early yesterday morning after the snowmobile he was piloting hit a tree.

At about 1 a.m., Daniel S. Serfass, 28, and Kimberly Trusty, 23, were heading south on Krammes Road in Milford Township when the snowmobile, an Arctic Cat, failed to negotiate a curve, went into a ditch and stuck a tree head-on, according to state police.

"He later succumbed to injuries," at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown, a news release stated.

She was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem.

Both were wearing helmets, police said.
