Suburban merrymakers ringing in the New Year in Philadelphia can extend their evening to include the midnight fireworks thanks to the addition of several late trains on SEPTA's regional rail lines.
The last trains for most routes leaving the city will depart Suburban Station between 1:12 a.m. and 1:50 a.m. However, there will be no extra train on the R1 Airport Line or R6 Cynwyd Line.

On New Year's Day, SEPTA is adding extra service on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines. Trains will run every 8 to 10 minutes between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Regional Rail lines will operate on a regular Sunday schedule with additional cars for fans of the Mummers Parade.
The parade will cause several bus routes to be detoured throughout Center City.
