On New Year's Day, SEPTA is adding extra service on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines. Trains will run every 8 to 10 minutes between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Regional Rail lines will operate on a regular Sunday schedule with additional cars for fans of the Mummers Parade.

The parade will cause several bus routes to be detoured throughout Center City.
