Divers search Lake Galena for fisherman

Police and other emergency responders, including divers, were searching Lake Galena in Bucks County for a 63-year-old man disappeared Tuesday while fishing from a kayak.

The Bucks County resident was reported missing around 9 p.m. at the reservoir near Doylestown, said county spokeswoman Stacey Hajdak.

Philadelphia police sent a helicopter to search the lake with a spotlight and "they found the kayak with fishing gear in it," Hajdak said.

Divers were in the water Wednesday afternoon to see if the man, whose name was not released, had drowned, she said.

The divers would continue to search through the night, she said.
