Woman missing in tubing mishap

The police were searching tonight for a woman who went missing after falling off a tube in the Delaware River near the West Deptford municipal boat ramp.

The woman, who is in her 40s, was riding the tube with two other people around 5:40 p.m. when the tube flipped. The other riders made it to shore, said State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones.

Two Coast Guard boats, two State Police boats and a helicopter were being used to search for the missing woman tonight. Her name was not released.
