Two men were arrested for stealing more than $26,000 of diesel fuel from a Delaware County company, the district attorney's office announced today.

Charles Thomas Scott, 47, of Philadelphia and Aubrey Adelbert Fennell, 50, of Elkins Park were charged with theft, deceptive business practices, conspiracy and other related charges.

According to court documents the owner of Nardello Fuels in Essington contacted detectives to report the theft. Scott, a fuel truck driver, was allegedly selling the fuel to Cheltenham Fuel Oil Company and billing a corporation in the Navy Yard. On Monday detectives observed Scott transfer 531 gallons of fuel into a truck driven by Fennell. The two allegedly confessed to repeated thefts.
