Gov. Corbett: 'I feel really good'

Gov. Tom Corbett was released from Allegheny General Hospital around 10:30 this morning following a successful spinal operation.

"I was working yesterday," Corbett said in an impromptu press conference outside the North Side hospital. "I feel really good."

The operation was intended to cure Mr. Corbett's spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal column that can cause leg pain and weakness.

The governor said he intends to return to Harrisburg after a few days' recovery in his Shaler home.
