Suspect sought in S.W. Phila. slaying

Homicide investigators know who they are looking for the shooting death of a 25-year-old man Monday afternoon in Southwest Philadelphia, police say.

The victim was identified today as Dexter Young, of the 600 block of Colwyn Ave., Darby Borough.

Police said Young was shot in the chest and shoulder about 12:15 p.m. on the 6000 block of Yocum Street following an argument.

He was pronounced dead at 12:34 p.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Homicide detectives are seeking a known suspect, whose name has not been released, police said.
