Teen hit, injured by school bus in Juniata Park

A 14-year-old boy was struck by a school bus and injured today in the Juniata Park section, police said.

Police said the initial investigation indicated the teen darted in front of the westbound bus on the 1700 block of East Hunting Park Avenue about 7:05 a.m.

The youth was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children with facial scrapes and possibly broken leg, police said.

The bus driver and three students on board the vehicle were not hurt.

The investigation is continuing.
