The sun finally regains dominance as days of dreary, rainy weather moves out and warmer temperatures returns.

The forecast still calls for a sunny, pleasant day of 67 with a slight breeze.

The low tonight should dip to 48, but most of the weekend looks to be near perfect, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly. Friday should see full sun and high of 72. Saturday is expected to see a high of 80.

And Mother's Day is likely to be partly sunny, with a high of 80.

Then, the unsettled weather pattern returns with a chance of showers Sunday night and through Monday, which will see a high of about 75.

So, all in all, Mother's Day should be okay.
