Powerball: 1 ticket wins $50 million

Make it three straight $50 million jackpots won for Powerball.

Make it three straight $50 million jackpots won for Powerball.

Wednesday night, only one ticket, sold in Kansas, matched all the numbers - 5, 8, 20, 23 and 30, with a Powerball of 3.

A New Jersey ticket won $1 million for being one of nine nationwide that matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball.

An Oklahoma player won $2 million for also having the Power Play prize-boosting option. The other $1 million winners were in Connecticut (2), New Hampshire, West Virginia, Indiana, Wisconsin and Florida.

Jackpots worth $50 million were hit last week in Massachusetts and Dec. 5 in Bucks County. The ticket was sold at Levittown News & Tobacco in Fairless Hills.

Mega Millions: No one wins, but jackpot stays the same. No one won Tuesday night's $12 million jackpot, so Friday's jackpot will be ... $12 million?

That's right, lottery officials confirm. Apparently it took two drawings to fully fund the original estimate, partly because of low interest rates.

The numbers were 1, 6, 7, 18 and 29, with a Mega Ball of 16.

A New Jersey ticket won at least $250,000 for matching the first five. If the player also had the Megaplier, the prize would jump to $1 million.

Also matching five were two tickets sold in Arizona, and one each in Maryland, New York and Wisconsin.

In California, two second-tier tickets won $446,292 apiece under that state's pari-mutuel system.
