Borough council candidate who lost by a single vote calls for a recount
DOWNINGTOWN A Downingtown Borough Council candidate who lost by one vote has petitioned for a recount.
Republican Phil Dague, a lifelong Downingtown resident and UPS driver, lost to incumbent Democrat Ann Feldman in the Nov. 5 election by 336-335.
Dague petitioned for a recount on Nov. 26, according to Chester County spokeswoman Becky Brain. She said a judge has yet to rule on the petition.
If the judge approves the request, Chester County Voter Services would be tasked with recounting the votes, Brain said. - Tricia L. Nadolny
