An unidentified man reportedly shot himself in the hand on a SEPTA bus Wednesday evening in the city's East Germantown section, police said.
The incident happened about 6:15 p.m. on a Route K bus at Chelten Avenue and Musgrave Street, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The bus driver did not know that something had occurred until he completed his route. A passenger leaving the bus told the driver that a man accidentally shot himself and then got off at a stop.
Police found some drops of blood on the bus and were expected to check surveillance video to see if they could get a clear image of the man, Small said. - Robert Moran
