The Philadelphia Parking Authority warned Monday of bogus e-mails asking potential fraud victims for payment of unpaid tickets.

"The PPA never asks for payment through e-mails," said Vincent J. Fenerty Jr., executive director of the Parking Authority. "The only valid request for payment for outstanding parking tickets is conducted through the U.S. mail."

Anyone with questions about the authenticity of PPA notices can call the agency's customer service department at 1-888-591-3636. - Robert Moran
