Police arrested a 25-year-old man found naked and apparently under the influence of drugs after he charged at an officer on a busy Atlantic City roadway, according to statement from police Saturday.
Steven Grant, of Atlantic City, was screaming, behaving aggressively and showing signs of drug use, when officers found him walking naked near Caspian and North Carolina Avenues Friday evening, the Atlantic City Police Department said in the statement.
After Grant moved onto Route 30, an officer positioned his patrol car in the roadway to protect him from oncoming traffic, the statement said.
Grant jumped on the vehicle's hood, damaging it, then charged the officer while screaming aggressively with his fists clenched, prompting the officer to shoot him with a stun gun before detaining him, the statement said. He was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
