A Pennsylvania woman died Friday in an apparent accident at a Vermont ski resort.

Vermont State Police said investigators around 4:45 p.m. found the body of 21-year-old Jennifer Strohl, of Jim Thorpe, on Killington Mountain. Authorities were first contacted by Strohl's concerned friends, who hadn't seen the woman since around 10:45 a.m. as she was skiing the Great Northern Trail.

Killington ski patrol retraced Strohl's route and found her about 10 feet off the side of the trail. According to Killington's website, the Great Northern Trail, which begins at the top of the mountain and ends at one of two lodges, is considered one of the mountain's easier routes. It is a green circle route, according to the website.

Strohl was not wearing a helmet and suffered head injuries as a result of an "apparent collision," according to officials. Police said though her death is under investigation, it doesn't appear to be suspicious at this time.
