Two people were found shot dead in an SUV in Kensington late Thursday night, police said Friday.
The victims, a 37-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man, were both pronounced dead by medics at the scene, on Amber Street, near Venango. Their names were not immediately released.
Police, who arrived about 10:15 p.m., found the woman in the driver's seat of the blue Honda CR-V with a single gunshot wound to the right side of her head and the man, who was in the passenger's seat, with a single gunshot wound to his right temple.
Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters: "Right now, we didn't get any information or description of a shooter or shooters who fled the scene. And due to the fact that there is a weapon recovered inside the vehicle, we're not ruling out the possibility that this may have been a murder-suicide."
Detectives are continuing to investigate. A motive for the shootings was not known.
