Prosecutor: Bucks EMT tried to meet minor for sex
Charles Amer, 46 of Warminster, has been charged with second-degree luring, attempted sexual assault and related charges.

A Bucks County emergency medical technician has been arrested after he allegedly drove to South Jersey intending to engage in sexual activities with a minor, while still dressed in his work uniform, officials said.
Charles Amer, 46 of Warminster, has been charged with second-degree luring, attempted sexual assault, attempted criminal sexual contact, and attempted endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Authorities said Wednesday that Amer, an EMT for Belmed Ambulance, Healthfleet Ambulance, Keystone Quality Transport Company and Warrington Community Ambulance, texted sexually explicit messages to an undercover detective he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
Amer agreed to meet the girl in Pennsauken on Feb. 16, where they would then go to a hotel in neighboring Pennsylvania "to engage in sexual activities."
Upon arrival, he was arrested by police. Amer has been released from the Camden County Correctional Facility while he awaits a court appearance.
