Coatesville police have asked for the public's help identifying dirt bike riders who have been "terrorizing" residents of the Chester County city in the past three weeks.

One person, Cory Stanley, 22, of Coatesville, has been charged with numerous vehicle-code violations for his involvement with the group, police said.

At about 8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, three dirt bike riders and a person riding a four-wheeler zoomed into Ash Park, on the 300 block of Kersey Street, and rode around the open field, near the basketball court and playground, endangering numerous adults and children, police said in a statement Friday.

"This same group has been terrorizing the citizens of the City of Coatesville for the past three weeks by riding throughout the city at high rates of speed and disobeying traffic laws," the statement said. On several occasions, the riders "have taunted the police and waved them on to chase them."

Police have been searching for the riders and reviewing surveillance cameras. On Friday, detectives located two dirt bikes and the four-wheeler inside a storage facility on Valley Road in nearby Sadsbury Township, police said.

Anyone with information about the other riders is asked to call 911.
