Ninth grader shot at Phoenixville Dunkin Donuts

A high school student was seriously wounded in a shooting Wednesday night in Chester County, officials said. The victim, described as a 9th grader in the Phoenixville Area School District, was shot near a Dunkin' Donuts in the 200 block of Nutt Road. The student was taken to Phoenixville Hospital.

A high school student was seriously wounded in a shooting Wednesday night in Chester County, officials said.

The victim, described as a ninth grader in the Phoenixville Area School District, was shot near a Dunkin' Donuts in the 200 block of Nutt Road. The student was taken to Phoenixville Hospital.

The school district reported on its Facebook page that the student was shot.

"Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family and all of the student's friends,"  Superintendent Alan D. Fegley said.
