A 21-year-old Oxford Circle woman who is nine months pregnant was shot Tuesday evening in a dispute with a next-door neighbor, police said.

The woman was shot in her right leg and the bullet lodged in her left leg about 6:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of Rosalie Street,  said Chief Inspector Scott Small. She was taken by private vehicle to Einstein Medical Center, where she was reported in stable condition.

Police took into custody for questioning a 43-year-old woman who lives next door, Small said.

Witnesses told police the two women have been involved in a dispute for two weeks. A shell casing was found just inside the alleged shooter's front door and a semiautomatic handgun was recovered by police.

Police were expecting to check several nearby surveillance cameras to see if the shooting was recorded on video.
