West Philly dice game ends in fatal shooting

Investigators identified the dead man as Hassan Sibbert, 23, of Southwest Philadelphia. Emergency responders found him with a gunshot wound to the head just before 9:30 p.m. Monday on the 5800 block of Christian St.

An argument between two men shooting dice on a West Philadelphia street ended Monday night with both players drawing guns and one fatally shooting the other, police said.

Investigators identified the dead man as Hassan Sibbert, 23, of Southwest Philadelphia. Emergency responders found him with a gunshot wound to the head just before 9:30 p.m. Monday on the 5800 block of Christian Street.

Detectives believe Sibbert's assailant fled the scene. They had not identified a motive or made any arrests as of late Tuesday evening.
