Darby man charged with W. Phila. homicide

A 24-year-old Darby man with a record of convictions on weapons and drug offenses has been charged with murder in a West Philadelphia shoot-out that left one man dead and three others, including himself, wounded, police said yesterday.

Craig Robinson, of the first block of North Second Street, also was charged Saturday with aggravated assault and weapons offenses in the shooting, which occurred Thursday afternoon under the Market-Frankford El at 52d and Market Streets. Robinson was wounded in a foot.

Wayne Bell, 21, of the 200 block of North Wilton Street in Philadelphia, who also had a criminal record, was killed in the gun battle. - Joseph A. Gambardello
