Man, 19, is shot dead in S.W. Phila.

A 19-year-old man was shot to death about 3:30 p.m. yesterday in Southwest Philadelphia.

Nasir Gary was shot on the 1600 block of South 54th Street, about two blocks from his home, police said.

Gary was pronounced dead a short time later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, police said.

As of late last night, they said, there were no witnesses, no suspects and no motive.
