FBI is after man in string of Center City bank heists

The FBI is seeking the public's help in finding a man suspected of five Center City bank robberies in the last three months, the latest one Friday at the HSBC Bank, 1515 Market St. After presenting a teller "with a threatening demand note" about 2 p.m., the FBI said, the man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The other robberies took place Feb. 22 and March 10 at the Conestoga Bank, 1632 Walnut St.; March 26 at the Firstrust Bank, 1515 Market St.; and April 15 at TD BankNorth, 1601 Market St., the FBI said.
