Free noon concerts announced for Center City

Wednesday will be the day for free lunchtime concerts around Center City from June 6 through the end of August. The musical genres will run from rockabilly to reggae, and the locations will vary, from Seventh and Market Streets to 18th and the Parkway.

The musical genres will run from rockabilly to reggae, and the locations will vary, from Seventh and Market Streets to 18th and the Parkway.

In case of rain, the outdoor performances will move to indoor locations, mostly Reading Terminal or the Gallery.

Concerts run from noon to 1:30 p.m. The series is organized by the Center City District, with support from TD Bank.

June 6: 1601 Market St.(rain location: Reading Terminal, 12th & Filbert) , Alligator Zydeco, cajun.

June 13, Centre Square,1500 Market St. (Gallery, 9th & Market) , Gas Money, rockabilly.

June 27, Shops at Liberty Place, 16th & Market (Mellon Center, 701 Market St.), Chris Despo, acoustic

July 11 , Bellevue, 200 S. Broad St. (Reading Terminal) Mark Stinger Band, blues.

July 18, 1700 Market St. (Gallery), Randy Lippincott Band, blues.
