Westmont shop hosts artists' show

HADDON TWP. Paintings by local artists Mali Pisa and Sara Ann Kronrot will be on view through Dec. 31 at the Espressit Coffee House in Westmont.

Pisa, 27, of Haddon Township, and Sara Ann, 10, of Collingswood, have cerebral palsy. Their work, characterized by vibrant color, "uplifts everyone who walks in," says shop owner Stacey Douglas.

A "Meet the Artist" event Sunday also inspired several buyers; Pisa sold a couple of paintings, and Sara Ann did as well.

The sale was her first, according to her mother, Melissa Perry.

"She couldn't believe it. She was just elated," Perry said. "She's a professional artist now." - Kevin Riordan
