Man injured in Girard Park shooting

The man was shot once in the thigh as he entered a takeout store and was reportedly in stable condition Sunday night.

A man was injured in a shooting in the Girard Park section of South Philadelphia on Sunday night, Philadelphia police said.

The victim, 40, was shot once in the left thigh as he entered a Chinese takeout store at 20th Street and Snyder Avenue just before 8:30 p.m., police said.

Paramedics took the man to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

No arrests had been made and no weapon had been found late Sunday night, police said.
