The Delaware River and Bay Authority, which operates the Delaware Memorial Bridge, will switch from its own E-ZPass system to the New Jersey E-ZPass system to save about $750,000 a year, the agency said Monday.

The change, effective June 27, will not affect the commuter or frequent-traveler discounts currently available to DRBA E-ZPass holders, spokesman James Salmon said. The monthly charge for E-ZPass customers will be reduced to $1 a month from the current $1.50. New Jersey E-ZPass is the operator of the E-ZPass systems in use on the New Jersey Turnpike, the Garden State Parkway, the Atlantic City Expressway, and toll bridges operated by the Delaware River Port Authority and the Burlington County Bridge Commission. - Paul Nussbaum
