Man charged with stealing lingerie and 'Thief' DVD

A Shore man accused of shoplifting at a local Kmart had an intriguing inventory when he was stopped by store security, police said.

The goods included mostly women's lingerie and a DVD "ironically titled" The Thief, Stafford Township police said a statement.

According to the statement issued Wednesday, Frank J. Clementi, 77, of Manahawkin was spotted by store security taking $108 worth of merchandise from the discount department store on Route 72 Sunday morning.

The store contacted police, who charged Clementi with shoplifting. He was released pending a hearing in municipal court.
