Twenty people were injured Tuesday after an Atlantic City woman slammed her car into the front lobby of a Social Security building in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.

According to police, Donna Woodall, 56, was attempting to park the 1998 Nissan Sentra just before 10 a.m. when the car accelerated over the sidewalk and into the waiting area of the office at 1350 Doughty Rd.

Of the 20 people hurt by the vehicle and crash debris, two were seriously injured, police said.

"The investigation is ongoing but circumstances known at this time indicate this was accident and not an intentional act," Egg Harbor Township police said in a statement.

Another woman and two children also were in the car.

The building was secured by fire personnel and deemed safe by the township building inspector.

No charges had been filed in relation to the crash as of Tuesday afternoon.
