Police: Pedestrian fatally struck by car in North Philadelphia
A 32-year-old man died after he was struck by a car in North Philadelphia early Saturday, police said.
A man has died after he was struck by a car in North Philadelphia early Saturday morning, according to police.
A 1999 Toyota Sienna was heading northbound on the 4700 block of Whitaker Avenue in Feltonville around 5 a.m. when it struck a 32-year-old man who had just stepped out of his own car, police said. Medics pronounced him dead at 5:05 a.m. The driver stayed at the scene.
Police did not release the identity of the man who died or the driver who hit him. They also did not say if charges were expected.
