Philadelphia Park Casino fined in 4 underage cases

HARRISBURG - State gambling regulators fined the owner of Philadelphia Park Casino for allegedly allowing underage people onto the floor.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said yesterday that the $18,000 fine and an order to donate $8,000 to gambling education and treatment stemmed from four instances last year. In three of the alleged cases, patrons entered the casino with small children. In another, a 19-year-old allegedly entered the casino and played slot machines for more than an hour.

The gaming board also said Philadelphia Park Casino agreed to increase security and retrain security staff to identify and evict underage individuals.

Philadelphia Park officials did not immediately return telephone calls seeking comment.
