The masked men entered 1818 Chestnut St. in pairs about 2:15 p.m., overpowered a security guard with tear gas, then went after a display case with hammers, police said. The take was reported to be watches valued together at $300,000. The four then drove off in a green Chevrolet Impala or Ford Taurus, according to Central Detectives.
Several customers were in the store, but only the guard was injured, police said. - Inquirer staff
