A Delaware County jury deliberated until about 10 p.m. yesterday in the murder trial of Ramir Steve, the Upper Darby man accused of shooting a cabdriver during a 2007 robbery. Jurors will reconvene Monday.

The jurors requested that the legal definition of the murder charges be read four times. They also asked to hear the entire testimony of the Upper Darby detective who took the statements of both Ramir Steve, then 18, and his identical twin, Romar.

The body of Gregory Cunningham was found hours after Cunningham picked up Ramir Steve as a fare.

During the trial, three witnesses testified that Ramir Steve told them he was involved in the murder. His defense attorney suggested that his twin was the culprit. - Mari A. Schaefer
