A disciplinary hearing for a Philadelphia School District webmaster who has been accused of "unsatisfactory work performance," "theft of time, failure to meet deadlines, and improper use of district equipment" will continue next Wednesday.

Christopher Akers, who was suspended Thursday, said a disciplinary hearing was scheduled for next week. He has said he was caught up in district politics and was being targeted because he worked on secret projects under the direction of Jamilah Fraser, the district's former communications chief.

District spokesman Fernando Gallard said an investigatory conference - the first phase of what can be a two-step process - was held Tuesday. He said he could not comment on Akers' employment status. - Martha Woodall
